Honey Joys
Ingredients:
90g butter
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon honey
4 cups Corn Flakes Breakfast cereal. Be brand specific to avoid additives.
Method:

Preheat oven to 150°C.
- Line patty pan or mini muffin pan with paper cases.

Melt butter, sugar and honey together in a saucepan until frothy.
- Add Corn Flakes and mix well.
- Working quickly spoon into paper patty cases.
- Bake in a slow oven 150°C for 10 minutes.Cool.
- Makes 24 patty cake sized and 50 mini muffin sized treats.
Optional:
- add chopped nuts to mixture for older children, peanuts work very well.
- sprinkle with hundreds and thousands natural colours before baking.
Notes:
- Kelloggs Cornflakes contain barley malt extract so avoid if you have a reaction
- When choosing natural ingredients such as butter and honey, still be label wise and ensure the product is 100% natural. Some companies will add extra ingredients to make their product cheaper to manufacture.
- Natural 100s and 1000s include natural colours that may react with some children such as 120 (Carmines, Carminic acid or Cochineal). Sensitive people may experience hyperactive behaviour.
